"Oftentimes, fund managers are too distracted by the crazy market. I prefer to get distracted by crazy ideas."
Hi, I'm Ivan. I help people nurture their investment portfolio to achieve prosperity. For years, I worked with fund managers in both local and global institutions to help them navigate through the crazy market.
I am a bibliophile, as I prefer devouring history, social studies and finance books rather than anything else. I remember spending my weekend time in a college library or working part time as an economics book editor at a local publisher (hey, I get paid reading books, wonderful, isn't it?). My interest in books and learning helped me finish my finance degree with the highest distinction, and later on, to become a CFA charterholder.
I made my first investment mistake in 2003 when I bought a local bank's IPO. It was a restructured bank created in the midst of 1998's Asian financial crisis. I sold the shares at 15% higher weeks after the IPO. Ten years later, the bank became the biggest bank in the country and valued at almost 10x the IPO price. My mistake was not thinking big.
Today, with Eduardus, Ivana, and Erenst, I unleash my inner nerd by voraciously digging information and connecting the dots. All for the sake of finding the next big thing that can help our client achieve their financial goal. Oftentimes, fund managers are too distracted by the crazy market. I prefer to get distracted by crazy ideas.
